Crosby came out of nowhere (actually, Eastern Michigan) to rack up 10 sacks as a 4th-round rookie last season. That tied for 15th in the league. But Crosby ranked just 54th in total pressures, according to Pro Football Focus. So don't be surprised if we get some regression in that sack total in his 2nd season. You also shouldn't be surprised if Crosby spends a little less time on the field. He cracked 80% in snap share 7 times over the final 12 games last year -- a bit much for a 255-pound speed rusher.
That said, Crosby arrived as a speed score winner and then proved useful even quicker than GM Mike Mayock hoped. The Raiders added DE Carl Nassib in free agency, which could help. A rotation at DE should help keep the light Crosby fresher. Of course, the fact that he wildly outperformed 1st-round pick DE Clelin Ferrell can only count as a huge mark in Crosby's favor going forward.
