Mack Wilson Player Overview

Draft Sharks Bottom Line:

The Browns booted Christian Kirksey and let Joe Schobert walk after last season. But Wilson already spent nearly all of 2019 as a full-timer. After playing just 11 total snaps over the 1st 2 weeks, he played 96% or more in 13 of the other 14 games (and 89% in the other).

Wilson didn't offer much in the way of numbers, though. He collected just 8.9% of Cleveland's solo tackles and 9.1% of the total stops. That followed arriving as just a 4th-round pick.

Wilson should enter 2020 with more tackle upside. And his 6 INTs over his final 2 seasons at Alabama point to upside in that area. But he also faces competition from new LBs and safeties and has yet to prove we can count on him for regular tackles. He's fine low in LB3 range -- even better as a LB4.
