Dante Fowler Player Overview

Draft Sharks Bottom Line:

Fowler broke out for 11.5 sacks in his 4th season and 1st full campaign outside of Jacksonville. He tied for 9th in the league in sacks and 5th in tackles for loss. Fowler also tied for 19th in the league in Pro Football Focus' pass-rushing productivity, among 117 edge players with at least 115 pass rushes.

All signs point to Fowler entering his age-26 season as an ascending player. The big question will be whether he can continue that ascension in an Atlanta defense that has fared far worse rushing the passer over the same span than the Rams. How much did Fowler benefit from playing with Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers, and playing under DC Wade Phillips.

We're cautiously optimistic for the sack outlook on this former top-5 pick. Just don't overpay for last year's sack total.
