The Seahawks placed RB Rashaad Penny (knee) on the active/PUP list. No surprise here. Penny is still rehabbing from last December's torn ACL and is a candidate for the reserve/PUP list, which would cost him the first 6 games of the season. He's only worth considering in fantasy drafts over 20 rounds. Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde figure to open the season as Seattle's top 2 RBs.

Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny is expected to miss 3-4 weeks after undergoing surgery Wednesday morning to repair a broken finger, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Penny injured the finger in practice on Monday. Seattle's season kicks off in 3-and-a-half weeks, and Rapoport confirms that there's a chance Penny won't be ready for that one. The injury kills any chance he had to pass RB Chris Carson on the depth chart before Week 1.
