Giants WR Golden Tate missed practice Sunday, and the team announced that he's in the concussion protocol. Expect the Giants to be conservative with the veteran, but this appears to be his 1st known concussion as a pro. Tate, of course, is suspended for the 1st 4 weeks of the regular season under the league's PED policy.
Lions WR Golden Tate injured his left ring finger in the season-opening win over the Cardinals but isn't concerned about it going forward. "My hand feels great, been catching with it great," he said. "It feels good." The injury reportedly occurred on Detroit's 1st possession of the 2nd half. Tate hauled in 3 more balls after that. He isn't planning on wearing any extra protection for Monday night's game against the Giants.
