We already knew that Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders had surgery in December to repair his torn left Achilles' tendon. Mike Klis of 9News in Denver reported Monday, though, that Sanders also had "tightrope" surgery on his right ankle. That operation reportedly treated an injury that Sanders suffered back in October 2017 and that dogged him throughout last season. "Tightrope" surgery can be used to repair high-ankle sprains, according to the Souther California Orthopedic Institute. Sanders blamed that injury for causing his Achilles' tear. No one can know how true that might be, but this operation sounds like a positive for Sanders' health heading into 2019 -- rather than a knock on his outlook.
