After a day of differing reports, it appears that Buccaneers OLB Lavonte David's ankle sprain isn't as bad as initially thought. ESPN's Jenna Laine reported Monday that David suffered a medial sprain to his left ankle in the Week 3 loss to Minnesota and is "week-to-week." HC Dirk Koetter backed that up by saying the injury is "not as bad as it looked or as bad as initially reported." David will reportedly wear a walking boot for the next few days and appears likely to miss at least 1 game. We'll keep an eye on his status beyond that.
Buccaneers LB Lavonte David had a partial tear of his left meniscus repaired Sunday, according to multiple reports. HC Bruce Arians downplayed the arthroscopic surgery and said he expects David to be ready for the regular season. We'll see whether he can make it back in time.
