Cardinals HC Bruce Arians said WR John Brown (quad) would be a full-go in Tuesday's practice. Brown didn't feel up to it. "I’m just going to come back when I’m ready,” he said. “My body is different than others. They expect me to come back fast, but I can’t. I’m all right, but I’m not where I want to be at.” This sure sounds like Brown's sickle-cell trait is again making him slow to recover from these leg issues. That wrecked his 2016 season and is certainly a risk factor in 2017.
Cardinals WR John Brown has been sidelined by a quad injury. HC Bruce Arians said he'll be out "a few days, maybe a week." It's unclear if this is at all related to the sickle-cell issue that hampered Brown throughout last season, but it's obviously not a good look for him. We'll see if this lingers beyond Arians' timeline. We currently have Brown with a 44.6% chance of missing time this year.
