Titans RB DeMarco Murray tore the MCL in his right knee, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. That's a much more significant injury than the originally reported LCL sprain. Murray apparently still hopes to play against the Jaguars on Sunday, and HC Mike Mularkey told The Tennessean that he considers the veteran RB "day to day." According to Schefter's report, though, playing on the knee would risk ACL damage, given the loss of stabilization with the MCL tear. Bet against Murray playing in Week 17. At the least, you won't want to use him in fantasy football even if he's active.
Titans HC Mike Mularkey said Thursday that RB DeMarco Murray is dealing with a hamstring injury. He didn't practice but was out on the field in uniform, according to insider Jim Wyatt. That suggests a minor issue, but we'll keep a close eye on this one. Murray has missed just 1 game over the last 3 seasons. Our model gives him a 58.4% chance of injury in 2017.
